Richland police search for hit-and-run suspect | News

RICHLAND, Wash. – Richland police are asking for the community’s help in finding the suspect in a hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning.

According to RPD, around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 5, a car was caught on surveillance camera hitting a person crossing Columbia Center Boulevard near SR 240.

The driver of an early to mid 2000s Toyota Avalon or Lexus IS/GS failed to stop and drove away. Video footage last showed the car near North Kellogg Street and West Clearwater Avenue.

The person hit was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

RPD notes that the car had distinctive silver trim on the windows and likely had damage to the front and/or passenger side mirror.
