31-year-old woman from Lehigh Acres dies in car accident

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A 31-year-old Lehigh Acres woman was killed in a crash Sunday morning off SR-82.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving an SUV eastbound on SR-82 toward Sunshine Boulevard. As she was moving into the westbound lane, she collided with a curb and a no-entry sign.

The woman then drove into a ditch and hit a fence and bushes.

The woman’s death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.

According to FHP, the accident is still under investigation.
