Deputies charge Frederick County man with multiple felonies after shooting

FREDERICK COUNTY, Maryland (DC News Now) – A man was arrested in Frederick County on Friday and charged with multiple misdemeanors following a shooting at a home he was staying in.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) said officers were called to a home in the 3800 block of Braveheart Dr. around 9:30 a.m. They heard gunshots inside the home.

Officers found that only 48-year-old Adrienne Mendoza Milam was inside the home. The FCSO set up a perimeter to prevent him from leaving the home.

While officers were on scene, Milam continued to fire shots inside the house.

It was only after about an hour that the MPs were able to contact him.

They ordered Milam to leave the house. He obeyed and was taken into custody without further incident.

He was taken to the hospital for emergency examination.

He was accused of:

  • Three counts of possession by a convicted felon
  • Illegal possession of a regulated firearm
  • Illegal possession of ammunition
  • Possession of CDS with a firearm
  • Violation of an extreme protection order
