Man killed in UTV crash near Conde

SPINK COUNTY, SD (KELO) — A 77-year-old man died in a two-vehicle crash nine miles southwest of Conde on Tuesday, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.

On Tuesday at 4:48 p.m., a 60-year-old man was driving a pickup truck westbound on SD Hwy 20 and struck the driver of a CanAm Defender UTV as the 77-year-old man pulled in front of the truck. The UTV went into the ditch where it overturned and the driver of the UTV died from his injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The names of those involved have not been released pending notification of family members.

The accident remains under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
