At around 7:03 p.m., Washington City Police received reports of shots fired at 1039 East Chinook Dr., Washington City Police Lt. Kory Klotz told St. George News on scene. When officers arrived, they entered the home because the door was open.

“They found two dead victims – both adults, a woman and a man,” he said. “When they cleared the rest of the house, they found evidence of murder.”

There was no suspect at the scene, but through their investigation, police identified Collin Bailey as suspects. Bailey is undergoing gender reassignment surgery and reportedly calls herself Mia Bailey, Klotz said.

She is a 28-year-old woman, 5’10” tall and 130 pounds. She has hazel eyes and brown hair. She wears wigs, so her hair could be long or short. Klotz said Bailey was last seen leaving the area in a mustard-colored 2014 Kia Soul with a Utah license plate reading “U069GF.”

“Her whereabouts are unknown,” he added. “(Her) last known location was on Washington Dam Road and Washington Fields Road. She is considered armed and dangerous.”

Klotz said anyone who sees Bailey or her car should not approach because she may be carrying a small-caliber handgun.

“We cannot stress enough that we want to ensure the safety of the public and make sure they do not approach her and do not contact us at this time,” he said. “To our knowledge, there is no threat to anyone else, but please do not approach the vehicle or Mia.”
