A quick look at new star Jalil Bethea; First Alert: June 17, 2024

When it was announced that the University of Miami would be signing five-star shooting guard Jalil Bethea, many in the Hurricane program were excited. He is the most promising talent the Hurricanes have recruited and he will fit into the program immediately and seamlessly.

What makes Bethea stand out is his shooting power and ability to find a shot at any moment. He has a seamless shooting motion that works well off the dribble, and even in catch-and-shoot situations and in the guard-heavy ACC, his long wingspan will help defend the league’s top players.

Entering his 14th season as head coach of the Hurricanes, Jim Larrañaga has one of the most talented scorers on his team and could return the team to great heights.
