Youngstown police are investigating a third homicide in four days, this time on the city’s west side.

Police have confirmed that a man was found dead in a car near the intersection of Steel Street and Salt Springs Road.

More than two dozen cartridge cases were found in the area.

A crowd gathered around the crime scene while a 21 News crew was on site.

This is the second murder in as many nights.

Tuesday night, a 19-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound in a driveway in the 500 block of E Judson Avenue. He died overnight in the hospital.

The police arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection with this case.

On Sunday evening, shots were fired at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Sherwood Avenue 131. While investigating the shooting, police found an SUV with a victim inside.

The victim of Sunday’s shooting was identified as 18-year-old Te’nya McKinley, who police said was an innocent bystander.
