Abilene mother’s boyfriend also accused of child sexual abuse | KTAB

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The boyfriend of an Abilene mother previously arrested on child molestation charges is also accused of sexually abusing children.

Michael Davis was booked into the Taylor County Jail earlier this week on two warrants for aggravated sexual assault of a child related to the allegations.

Karon Herold, Davis’ girlfriend, was also previously arrested on a warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

According to court documents, in May 2023, a child came forward to a trusted adult and claimed that Davis had sexually abused him.

When that trusted adult confronted Herold, the documents said she confessed to sexually abusing that child and a second child and admitted her boyfriend had also done so.

According to the documents, Herold also said she “wasn’t sure if she was a good mother or not” because she had sexually abused the children.

Both children were under five years old at the time of the alleged abuse.

Davis is being held in the Taylor County Jail on a total bond of $400,000 and Herold is being held on a bond totaling $200,000.
