Teenager shot in quadruple shooting on Minnesota Avenue

Later that day, a teenage girl and a man were taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds from the same shooting on Minnesota Avenue.

WASHINGTON – Washington, D.C. police are investigating a shooting involving four people in the Southeast.

On Sunday, officials were called to 2200 block of Minnesota Ave around 6:15 p.m. for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Their current condition is unknown.

Later that same day, a teenage girl and a man arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds from the same shooting incident on Minnesota Avenue. Officials say the teenage girl was hit in the hand. The man she arrived at the hospital with also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown.

During the investigation, an MPD officer was en route to the shooting and was involved in a car crash a few blocks from the scene at the corner of Minnesota and Pennsylvania Avenue. DC Fire and EMS had to extricate the officer from his car and transport him to a local hospital. The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries. It is unclear if there were any passengers in the car he crashed into.
