First Alert Weather: It feels more like autumn

ROCHESTER, NY — Sunday morning will start off humid and partly cloudy. The sun will break through the clouds Sunday morning, giving way to partly cloudy skies for most of the day.

The rain showers that moved through Saturday night have already begun to move out and will continue to do so early Sunday morning. However, the chance of rain on Sunday is not over after the morning hours, as another round of showers and thunderstorms will move in Sunday afternoon.

From about 2pm on Sunday, the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase again. Showers and thunderstorms are possible late Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. Localized showers and thunderstorms will bring locally heavy rain, but no flooding or severe weather is expected. Sunday will also be cool and windy again, with temperatures in the high 18s and wind gusts reaching 20-30mph in the afternoon.

There will be some showers early Sunday night before it dries out after midnight, leading to a dry start to Monday. Monday will be even cooler with highs just shy of 15 degrees! Temperatures will remain just shy of 10 degrees in some areas Monday afternoon. Partly cloudy skies are expected, but there could be isolated showers south of Rochester Monday afternoon.

From Tuesday it will finally be dry before temperatures rise to over 25 degrees by Wednesday afternoon.
