Buffalo Bills’ Top 3 Defenders, Keon Coleman Expectations and More

The Buffalo Bills’ release of Tre’Davious White with a designation on June 1 officially gave the Bills more than $10 million under the salary cap. The boys from The Mafia Cast discuss what the Bills should do with the money. Should they spend money on free agents like Yannick Ngakoue or maybe Calais Campbell? Do the Bills have a depth problem on the defensive front and need more bodies? What about 2025, maybe the Bills should defer that money until next offseason.

On last week’s show, we received a question from one of our listeners, asking what our expectations were for Keon Coleman and if he could replace Diggs’ production. He then compared Coleman to a Gabe Davis type player, a bigger receiver. He’s right, but can he replace the production of Stefon Diggs, should we expect that kind of production, or is it an unfair expectation? We also discussed who will likely lead the Bills in targets in the passing game and what we might see in the 2024 version of the Buffalo Bills.

In the second half of the show, we take a look at the Bills defense, analyzing the top three defensive players and the best player at each defensive level. This was in response to a recently published article by Sports Illustrated, ranking the trio of Ed Oliver, Matt Milano and Rasul Douglas as the fourth worst lines in the league. But we went further and got the best overall ranking. Finally, we had a little quiz on the Bills Wall of Fame. I wrote an article about the Wall of Fame and all the players, coaches, etc. which will be posted online Saturday morning. You will be able to preview this article during the broadcast.
