Man shot near gas station in DeKalb

DECATUR, Georgia – A man was shot and killed near a gas station in DeKalb County early Tuesday morning, police said.

Shortly before 2 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call that a person had been shot and went to 4275 Glenwood Road in Decatur, the address of a Circle K gas station.

When officers arrived on scene, they said the victim went into the gas station shop to get help after being shot. Emergency responders took the man to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

It is currently unclear if the man was shot at the Circle K gas station. 11Alive is still trying to determine what led to the shooting and if a suspect is in custody.
