BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Rainbows adorn Elmwood Avenue in preparation for Sunday’s Buffalo Pride parade, but motorists should also be prepared.

On June 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Elmwood Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Iroquois Drive to Virginia Street. The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the corner of Elmwood and Forest and ends at Allen Street.

Buffalo Police say this closure will impact many major east and west Buffalo roads and are urging motorists to avoid the area.

The Pride Festival begins at Canalside after the parade.
