LENOX, NY – A woman was killed and two children injured in an accident Friday afternoon in the town of Lenox.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy discovered the accident shortly before 1:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation revealed that 35-year-old Candis Relyea of ​​Canastota was driving west on New Boston Road when she left the road, struck a utility pole and a tree, and then rolled over.

Relyea died after being taken to Oneida Hospital.

At the time of the crime, there was a six-year-old and a 15-year-old in the car.

They were taken to Upstate University Hospital with serious injuries.
