New Ramapo City Police incident reports obtained by News 12 show that Eugene Bashinsky, 45, a private school bus driver for Avoides Meshleim Feish Inc., was arrested at the scene of a March crash that killed a 6-year-old child on West Maple Avenue approached.

Bashinksy was charged with allegedly driving an unregistered and uninsured bus and driving with a suspended or revoked registration and released on an appearance ticket, city documents said.

News 12 is also trying to get information from Spring Valley Police about two other recent school bus accidents there where children were struck, but they have not returned our repeated calls.

Police say two school buses were involved in accidents in Blooming Grove last week. A Monroe-Woodbury School District driver was pulling in front of another car in a crash when the bus with children inside was struck, according to police, who said no one was injured. News 12 has reached out to the department for more information on the second accident and is awaiting a response.
