Vail Pass partially closed due to several accidents

Eastbound traffic on Vail Pass was suspended at approximately 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, for safety reasons.

A May storm caused several accidents on Vail Pass and resulted in closures of the eastbound lanes, according to the Eagle County Alert Tuesday morning.

The closure began shortly after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and extends between East Vail and the top of the pass or between exits 180 and 190.
