A man who raped a 61-year-old woman was previously arrested for his role as a “spy,” according to Florida police

Tampa police said a man arrested for raping a 61-year-old woman had previously been arrested in the same community for his role as a “spitter.”

An affidavit states that 28-year-old Jordan Davis broke into the woman’s home at Nebraska Avenue and Ellicott Street on May 10 around 11 p.m

“He is despicable.”

Police said Davis found the woman in bed and placed a pillow over her face in an attempt to sexually assault her.

According to police, Davis didn’t get far after the attack. She said the victim called 911 and described the suspect so well that they found him very quickly.

Tampa police spokesman Jonee Lewis praised the woman for helping police catch the alleged attacker.

“After this traumatic ordeal, she showed extraordinary courage in being able to call us and give us such a good description that we were able to immediately find this person and get this person off the streets,” Lewis said.

Davis was arrested and charged with sexual assault and burglary.

Previously “Look Tom”

Police said the man was arrested back in February 2023 after a woman caught him staring at her through her window for about 20 minutes.

The victim in this incident pretty much predicted what would happen if the man hadn’t been locked up.

“He needs help and he needs to be in a facility where he won’t do this to anyone else,” Rachel Cronin said.

She says the video appears to show him trying to gain entry by turning the doorknob, which was locked.

“If it had been unlocked, what would he have done next after observing a woman alone in her home?”

She provided WTVT-TV with surveillance footage that shows Davis on her porch, watching her through her window. Later in the video, she can be heard screaming and swearing at him to get out of her house and never come back.

Davis had been released from prison on a burglary charge just six days before the Peeping Tom incident in 2013.

The neighbors were horrified when they heard about the alleged rape.

“I think he is despicable. No doubt,” said Manuel Fernandez. “My deepest condolences and I’m so sorry this happened to her, it’s a serious tragedy.”

“We don’t want this to happen to another person in our community,” Lewis said.
