Adult and child killed in Louisburg house fire

LOUISBURG, Kan. – An investigation is underway and an adult and a child were killed in a house fire in Louisburg, Kansas, late Thursday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the area of ​​N. 5th Street and Mulberry Street shortly after 11 a.m. to extinguish a residential structure fire.

The two victims have not been identified at this time and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Crews from Louisburg Fire and Police, Paola Fire, Miami County Sheriff and EMS and the Overland Park Fire Department were on scene.

The state fire marshal is investigating the fire.
