Texas Lottery Alert: $100,000 Powerball Winner Unclaimed

Yesterday was Mother’s Day across Texas. And from Houston to Beaumont, from San Angelo to Lubbock, and from Palestine to Muleshoe, the good people of the great state of Texas celebrated the “hand that rocks the cradle.”

I’m sure every mom in Texas was treated like a queen on Sunday. But for at least two Texans who entered the Powerball lottery Saturday night, the celebration could have been bigger even by Texas standards.

That’s because our sources at the Texas Lottery offices in Austin have confirmed that Saturday’s Powerball game produced not one, but two big-money winners in the Lone Star State. The winning tickets are valued at $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.

We know this. First, let’s get the numbers for the Powerball drawing on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Saturday’s top prize in the Powerball game was $37.2 million. No tickets were sold anywhere in the field equal to the number required to receive this prize. Speaking of numbers: This is how the table tennis balls bounced on Saturday. The numbers were:

You should check these numbers before attempting to claim a prize. You can check them on the Texas Lottery official website or the Powerball official website. Both sites allow you to enter your ticket numbers to confirm the prize you may be entitled to.

As previously mentioned, there was no jackpot winner on Saturday. There were also no tickets sold that had enough numbers to win a Match 5 million prize. So winning $100,000 in Texas was one of the biggest prizes awarded in Saturday’s game.

But as mentioned, a $50,000 winner was also sold in Texas on Saturday. Oddly enough, both tickets received their prizes in the same way: they covered four of the five white balls and the Powerball. So technically both Texas tickets “missed by a number.” What a pity. But still, $100,000 and $50,000 are nothing to sneeze at.

The next Powerball lottery drawing will take place this evening, Monday, May 13, 2024, shortly before 10 p.m. The estimated top prize is $47 million for the annual jackpot and $22 million for the lump sum payout. Tuesday’s Mega Millions is worth an estimated $363 million, in case you were wondering.

Please play this and all games of chance responsibly. Most lottery tickets sold are not winners, so only spend as much as your budget allows you to lose. If you feel like you have a problem with gambling, please call and get help. There is a toll-free help number, 1-800-GAMBLER, available to you free of charge. Good luck.
