According to I-Team sources, police are investigating the connection between a person’s death and illegal liposuction in Somerville

EVERETT — Police are investigating a connection between an illegal liposuction procedure in Somerville and the death of a person in Everett, I-Team sources say.

An investigation is underway after police responded to a call for help at the home in Everett. First responders worked to save a young woman who may have had liposuction gone wrong.

“This is just the worst,” said Sandra Lopez, who lives near the plant in Somerville.

“Crazy in the truest sense of the word. I couldn’t even imagine doing something like that in my own living room,” Lopez said.

The neighbors who live next door to the woman in Everett feel the same way.

“I’m feeling really bad,” said neighbor Paige. She mourns her neighbors mourning the loss of someone they love and hopes that justice will be served soon.

“It’s really shameful to exploit and take advantage of people who just want to feel good at the end of the day,” Paige said.

WBZ-TV reached out to the Middlesex County District Attorney for more information, but we have not received a response.
