Fulton Bank robbery under investigation

LAUREL, Delaware – Police are currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred yesterday in Laurel.

According to police, they were called to the Fulton Bank on Sussex Highway around 9:30 a.m. after a robbery alarm went off.

When they arrived, the suspect had already left the area.

The suspect entered the bank and gave the teller a demand slip. He then ran out of the bank with the money towards Discount Land Road.

After reviewing surveillance footage, they determined that the suspect was a black man between 5’8 and 5’10” tall with a Haitian Creole accent.

He wore a white T-shirt, light grey shorts, white shoes and a red cap with a black peak.

The hat’s logo was a green, yellow and red marijuana leaf. Police believe he is in his forties.

They also learned that the suspect had robbed the Dollar General next door before the bank robbery.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to contact them at 302-875-2244.
