One dead after crash between semi-truck and RV on I-70, according to UHP

THOMPSON SPRINGS, GROUND COUNTY, UTAH – One person is dead following a crash between a tractor-trailer and a motor home on Interstate 70 in Grand County, the Utah Highway Patrol confirmed Sunday afternoon.

UHP Cpl. Michael Gordon said that just before 5 a.m. Sunday morning, a semi-truck was traveling eastbound on I-70 near mile marker 200. For an “unknown reason,” the driver of the semi-truck veered off the right side of the roadway.

The driver corrected too sharply to the left and overturned.

A mobile home crashed into the overturned semi-trailer, Gordon says, and the mobile home’s occupant was fatally injured in the impact.
