On the night of July 20, Russian troops attacked the railway infrastructure of the Kharkiv region, damaging buildings and rolling stock and injuring four railway workers.

This was reported by Ukrzaliznycia on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Another night of enemy attacks on the Kharkiv region railway line. Four of our people were injured (fortunately slightly), buildings and vehicles were damaged,” Ukrzaliznycia said.

Due to damage to the contact network, trains No. 63 and No. 719 Kyiv-Kharkiv stopped at the exit from Kharkiv. Traffic was resumed during the night and trains are heading to the capital.

The intercity train to Kramatorsk is also delayed as a result of the night attack.

Ukrzaliznycia stressed that the railway had collected all information about the passenger transfers. Accordingly, they would be brought to Helm, including transfer options, on the international flight.

“Some of the passengers will wait for their trains, while others will be transported in replacement minibuses for speed and comfort reasons,” Ukrzaliznycia said.

As Ukrinform reported, on the morning of July 19, the Russians launched a missile attack on Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region. Nine people were injured, including a child.
