Houston Astros schedule revealed, Mets home game, Giants open 2025, AL West clashes in California

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Astros are in the midst of a battle to take the lead in the American League West division from the Seattle Mariners, who happen to be the first opponents of the second half of the season for the reigning division champions.

Although Houston has yet to complete its rebound from a dismal start to the 2024 season, the ballclub looked far ahead toward the 2025 schedule when it unveiled its 162-game schedule for the Astros’ 64th season of baseball on Thursday.

Manager Joe Espada and the team open the 2025 season with a six-game home series at Minute Maid Park, including a three-game series against the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants from March 27 to April 2.

Houston then travels to Minnesota April 3-6 for its first road series against Carlos Correa and the Twins.

Houston will close out the first half of the season with a home series against the Texas Rangers from July 11-13 before the All-Star break. Atlanta’s Truist Park will host next year’s festivities.

Houston will conclude the regular season with a six-game road trip to California, starting with the Oakland Athletics on Sept. 22. The season will conclude in Anaheim, where the Los Angeles Angels and Astros will face off in a divisional matchup Sept. 26-28.

Road Warriors

Extended trips away from the Juice Box are commonplace for the Astros, with Houston taking nine road trips twice this season and once next.

Houston will play nine MMP road games in 2025, a season high. Additionally, the Astros will play nine road games in 2025 during the second half of the season, when the team will play more away games than at home. The Stros will be the visitors in 37 of the 66 games in the second half of the 2025 season.

The road trip includes three three-game visits to Arlington, Toronto and Atlanta from September 5-14, 2025.

Conversely, Houston’s longest home streak in 2025 will be 10 games, occurring twice, each in the first and second halves.

The Astros have two four-game series against the Mariners and Tampa Bay Rays, with a two-game set against Oakland between them from May 22 to June 1, 2025.

The Colorado Rockies, Angels and New York Yankees are playing in a 10-game series from August 28 to September 4, 2025.
