Teenager drowns in Houston County pool Sunday

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A teenager died after drowning in a swimming pool Sunday, according to Houston County Coroner James Williams.

Dezmine Lowery, 19, of Virginia, was swimming in a pool in the 100 block of Tranquill Pointe.

He was then transported by ambulance to Houston Healthcare where he was later pronounced dead.

Williams said this is the second drowning in Houston County this summer.

The first incident occurred on June 9, when Ariel Jones, 27, drowned in a swimming pool in the 2400 block of Elko Road in Elko.
