According to the Hamas-led Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip, 38,243 people have been killed since October 7

The Hamas-run Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip said on Tuesday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 38,243 since the war began on October 7 last year.

Another 88,033 people have been injured in the conflict so far, the Gaza Ministry added.

The number has not been independently verified and the ministry does not distinguish between civilians and combatants when calculating the number of casualties.

In addition, the Hamas-led ministry has been repeatedly criticized for falsifying the casualty figures.

In May, the UN halved the number of women and children killed in the war so far, contrary to the figures reported by Hamas, as previously stated.
