Two 17-year-old boys dead, third injured in accident in Big Lake

BIG LAKE, Minnesota – Two 17-year-old boys are dead and a third 17-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries after an accident in Big Lake early Saturday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol stated that an officer with the Big Lake Police Department was traveling on Highway 25 and noticed a BMW traveling in the opposite direction and significantly exceeding the speed limit.

The officer then turned around to stop traffic. He came across an accident scene and saw that the BMW had left the road and overturned.

The identities of the crash victims have not yet been released.

The crash is currently being investigated.
