Man who molested four children in South Jersey is sentenced

VINELAND, NJ – A man who sexually abused four children in Cumberland County was sentenced to prison Monday.

Andy Chanza, 67, of Newfield, was sentenced to a total of eight years behind bars. He must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence before he can be released on parole.

According to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, the charges stem from multiple incidents that occurred in Vineland over a 29-year period. According to CCPO, during this time, Chanza had sexual contact with four victims who were younger than 13 years old.

No further information about the incidents was available.

In December, Chanza pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault. After his release, he will be required to register as a sex offender and will be subject to lifelong probation supervision.
