Diamond Shruumz chocolate and gummy bears recalled after reports of illness – WGAU

The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning for Diamond Shruumz products following reports of serious side effects.

The following Diamond Shruumz products have been recalled:

  • Microdosing chocolate bars
  • Infused Cones
  • Microdose and Megadose/Extreme Gummy Bears

They were not allowed to be for sale, but were available online and in stores that sell hemp-derived products such as CBD and delta-8-THC, the FDA said.

If you have the recalled products, you are asked not to consume them and return them to the company for a refund.

In 24 U.S. states, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania, there were 48 cases of someone becoming ill after consuming these products.

27 of the 48 cases resulted in hospitalizations, and one death is currently under investigation, the FDA said.

Symptoms included:

  • Seizures
  • Depression of the central nervous system (unconsciousness, confusion, drowsiness)
  • agitation
  • Abnormal heart rate
  • Hypertension/hypotension
  • Nausea
  • Vomit

If you take the product and become ill, you should call your doctor or poison control at 800-222-1222 and tell them you recently took a recalled Diamond Shruumz product, the FDA advises.
