Police conduct mass arrest near Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood – NBC Chicago

Early Monday morning, Chicago police said a “mass arrest” had been ordered at a location near the city’s North Side Lakeview neighborhood.

According to police, an “active” scene was reported in the 3000 block of North Clark Street shortly before 1:30 a.m.

“A mass arrest has been ordered at this location,” the CPD said in a warning.

Neither the number of arrests nor their reason were immediately announced.

A video showed a massive police presence in the area, with dozens of officers on duty and roads blocked off.
