Sabres decide not to qualify Jacob Bryson

Buffalo, New York (WGR 550) – The Buffalo Sabers have extended qualifying offers to four of their six restricted free agents. That means on Monday, Jacob Bryson and Riley Stillman will become unrestricted free agents. That doesn’t necessarily mean Bryson won’t return. After free agency begins, Buffalo could sign him for less than his qualifying offer of $1,900,000.

Here are the four restricted free agents that Kevyn Adams has qualified.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen – $971,250

Peyton Krebs – $874,125

Henri Jokiharju – $2,600,000

Beck Malenstyn – $813,750

Calle Sjalin returns to play in Europe.

On Monday, NHL free agency begins at noon, as does the Sabres’ development camp. Practice begins at 2:00 p.m. at Harborcenter.
