“I am proud to stand here today as a conservative Republican and support the re-election of Joe Biden as President of the United States,” said former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger.

Former Illinois Republican Congressman Kinzinger visited the Georgia State Capitol on Wednesday to support Democrat Joe Biden for president.

He stood alongside former Georgia Republican lieutenant governor Geoff Duncan, a long-time critic of Donald Trump. He also supported Biden.

“Why would anyone choose Donald Trump over Joe Biden? Even if you completely disagree with the policies? No policy will break this country and our democracy. There is only one person in this race who has the chance to destroy democracy and that is Donald Trump,” Duncan said.

“A lot of black leaders really have influence in the city, so I hope they have some good points to make,” voter Josh Sole said.

Across town, Sole joined dozens of others at Rocky’s Barbershop in Buckhead as black business leaders hosted a roundtable discussion featuring a phone call from Donald Trump.

Trump is trying to woo black voters.

He spoke about his indictment and arrest in Atlanta and his now-infamous mugshot.

“But it’s the number one photo of all time. It’s really unbelievable. Something happened, support within the black community and the Hispanic community skyrocketed,” Trump said.

Sole said he liked what he heard.

“It’s kind of what we’re experiencing specifically in Atlanta and then just as black men and our community as a whole,” Sole said.
