Cleveland Clinic employee placed on leave after incident outside Lutheran Hospital

CLEVELAND – Cleveland police are investigating an incident involving Cleveland Clinic police that occurred near Lutheran Hospital on West 25th Street.

The Cleveland Clinic confirmed that two officers were involved in an incident early Monday morning. Both officers are off duty during the investigation.

More than ten officers from the Cleveland Clinic and the Cleveland Police Department were on the scene. A bullet casing on the ground was part of the investigation, as were car parts and tire tracks on the sidewalk.

The Cleveland Clinic remained open during the incident. We can confirm that nothing happened at the hospital.
