Elderly woman killed in car crash on Oro Dam Boulevard in Oroville

OROVILLE, CA (June 19, 2024) – A 90-year-old woman died in a car crash on Oro Dam Boulevard near Rusty Dusty Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal car crash occurred around 11 a.m. on Monday. For unknown reasons, a 90-year-old woman driving a 2007 Honda CRV eastbound repeatedly crossed into the westbound lanes. Her vehicle then veered completely into the westbound lane before leaving the road and striking a tree.

The impact caused the car to overturn and land on its wheels.

Moments later, CHP and paramedics arrived and confirmed her death at the scene. Police did not release her name.

At this time, officials do not suspect that alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. However, they are continuing to investigate the accident to obtain any missing information.
