Mother’s Day Stroll at the Houston Botanical Garden

Discover interactive, inspiring, altruistic, and bonding experiences in nature during the inaugural Mother’s Day Walk: Nature and Culture for a Cause at the Houston Botanical Garden on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Unlike the usual brunches and sit-down meals, the Mother’s Day Stroll is a completely new and unique day of strolling and pampering, full of clever surprises and delights.

It’s designed to help moms and family members of all ages relax, get inspired, connect, and enjoy each other’s company amid countless moments of shared discovery.

While exploring the immersive, self-paced nearly two-mile walk through the serene beauty of the Houston Botanical Garden, families will experience connection as well as shared inspiration and happy moments.

And of course, food trucks and vendors will be on hand to satisfy those midday cravings. A lunch courtesy of Bollo is also included with the VIP option (see below for details).

Throughout the journey there will be captivating artwork, thought-provoking installations, ongoing yoga classes, complimentary wellness treatments, opportunities to serve, music, play areas in nature, pop-up installations designed for children with many interests, and much more.

Raising Mom with a VIP Experience

An optional VIP experience also includes access to two air-conditioned tents, lunch snacks from Bollo, complimentary beauty treatments from BloBar Memorial and Post Oak, wellness treatments from Albi Wellness Center, professional photoshoot with immediate access to photos, goody bags filled with goodies for the first 100 guests, preferred parking for the first 50 vehicles, and much more.

Perhaps more importantly for some families, the VIP experience also includes access to a golf cart shuttle around the course, subject to availability.

Supporting Houston Moms in Need

The walk is a well-being experience in nature for mothers, designed by mothers, and in support of mothers in need.

In-person donations of goods will also be accepted to help the Salvation Army’s Jones Residence in Midtown, which houses homeless children and mothers, and Kids’ Meals, which delivers food to preschool-age children with disabilities. served in Harris and Montgomery counties.

Mother’s Day Walk: Nature and Culture at the Houston Botanical Garden

  • Admission: Tickets are $25 in advance and include admission to the garden; $15 for ages 4 to 17; free for ages 3 and under. VIP tickets are $75; $35 for ages 4 to 17. All prices will increase at the door on the day of the event. Discounts are also available for those 65 and older, military, students, garden members, and groups of 4 or more.
