At least six dead in floods and landslides in Ecuador

At least six people died and over a dozen were injured in central Ecuador when heavy rains caused severe flooding and landslides on Sunday, June 16.

Emergency services reported landslides and flooding in the Banos area of ​​Tungurahua province, where at least six people died and 19 were injured.

The Ecuadorian army assisted residents near the Chambo River, which flows through the province.
