Drones attack Kremlin military targets in three Russian regions

Overnight, kamikaze drones of the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Service (HUR) attacked military facilities in the Russian regions of Lipetsk, Belgorod and Voronezh, Kyiv Post sources in the agency report.

The drones’ targets included the Novolipetsk steel plant and a nearby tractor plant – both facilities that Russia uses for arms production. Residents in the area heard explosions and air defense alarms.

Residents of Lipetsk reported explosions and smoke over the tractor plant at around 1:40 a.m. The Astra telegram channel published a video of the alleged consequences of the strikes at the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant.

The governors of the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions also reported air strikes, and according to locals, explosions were heard over the Voronezh region at around 3 a.m.

The damage assessment of the attack is still being clarified, the source told the Kyiv Post.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, six drones were destroyed in the attacks over the Belgorod, Voronezh and Lipetsk regions.
