Stephen A. Smith calls on Will Smith to address Oscars slap incident against black community in wake of box office success of ‘Bad Boys’ (Video)

Stephen A. Smith says he has trouble watching any of it Will Smith’s Films since his infamous Oscar Slap in the face in 2022.

In a recent episode of his show, he demanded that Will address the black community directly about the incident. Chris Rock.

“In the age of mental illness,” the comedian is not doing well.

“Chris Rock is broken,” Smith explained. “Chris Rock will never get over this. Never.”

He continued, “Will Smith has apologized. I’m not saying he needs to apologize at all. I’m saying I watch him and Martin Lawrence promote this movie, and I’m pretty sure the reason he hasn’t gone along with it is because the studios don’t want that, and you have an obligation to them. That’s fair, I understand that. But somewhere along the way he has to sit down and talk to the black community. You can see as many white people around Will Smith as you want, black people have loved and adored this man for decades.”

Smith stressed that despite his admiration, Will still has a responsibility to improve his relationship with the black community.

“You need to talk about why you did this. It is primarily us black people who loved and supported you and saw you punch one of our own in the face on an international stage,” he added.

“A lot of people can’t get over it. A lot of people have a hard time just going to the movies to watch you. I’m one of those people and I’ve never missed a Will Smith movie.”

Stephen A. Smith’s opinion may be subjective, especially given the success of “Bad Boys: Ride or Die”, The film exceeded all expectations, grossing $56 million domestically and $104 million worldwide in its opening weekend.
