Kerala actor Koottickal Jayachandran accused of sexual harassment

On Sunday, Kasaba police filed charges against Malayalam actor and impersonator Koottickal Jayachandran for sexually abusing a minor girl. The actor was charged under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act after the police received a complaint from the girl’s mother.

While filing the complaint, the mother alleged that the accused actor sexually abused her daughter, who is only four years old, by taking advantage of a dispute within the family. The child’s statement was recorded after the police visited the child at her residence on the instructions of the District Child Protection Unit. Meanwhile, the police refused to give further details as a thorough investigation into the allegations is yet to be conducted.

Koottickal Jayachandran, a Malayalam actor, is known for films like ‘Drishyam’, ‘Chanthupottu’, ‘My Boss’, ‘Memories’, ‘Naradhan’ and ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’.
