Sacramento teens arrested after ‘riot’ at DOCO; man arrested for breaking patrol car window

In another incident, a man smashed the window of a patrol car and threw a pole at a police officer.

BREAKING NEWS FROM SACRAMENTO WITH A CHAOTIC SCENE IN PART OF THE DOCO AREA. POLICE HAVE ARRESTED SEVERAL PEOPLE AFTER A BEATING. WE KNOW SOME OF THOSE INVOLVED IN THE BEATING WERE JUVENILES. THIS IS A VIDEO FROM A FEW MOMENTS AGO. YOU CAN SEEN PEOPLE BEING HELD BY POLICE. ONE PERSON ON THE GROUND, THEN ANOTHER PERSON COMES FROM BEHIND AND SHE TRYING TO GET IN THE WAY OF THE POLICE DOING THEIR WORK AND THEN SHE IS PULLED AWAY. WE SAW THE WINDOWS OF A POLICE CAR GET BREAKED. WE UNDERSTAND THAT. THIS IS A SEPARATE INCIDENT, BUT THERE’S A LOT GOING ON. SO IT’S NOT REALLY CLEAR WHAT LEAD TO IT ALL. LET’S GO TO CAROLINE ESTRADA WITH KCRA THREE. WERE YOU ABLE TO GET SOME ANSWERS? YES. SO WE HAVE A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION ON WHAT HAPPENED. AND WE KNOW THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS, BUT I WANT TO GIVE YOU A LOOK AT THE LOCATION RIGHT NOW BECAUSE SINCE OUR LAST SPOT WAS SPONSORED WITH YOU, THE SACRAMENTO FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS ARRIVED AND IS JUST CHECKING ONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT WAS DETENTED HERE TODAY. WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED SO FAR FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE IS THAT AROUND 8:30 AM THERE WERE CALLS ABOUT A COUPLE OF JUVENILES CAUSING A DISTURBANCE IN THIS AREA AND REPORTS OF A FIRE. WHEN THE POLICE GET IN, THEY DID NOT FIND ANY GUNARMS. HOWEVER, THE OFFICERS SAY ONE OF THESE JUVENILES THREW A METAL PIPE AT A POLICE OFFICER. THE POLICE OFFICER WAS NOT INJURED AND THEN THREE JUVENILES WERE ARRESTED FOR CURRENT VIOLATION. AS ALL THIS WAS HAPPENING, AN UNCONNECTED MAN BREAKS THE WINDOW OF A STATE POLICE CAR AND THEN THROWED A POLE AT A POLICE OFFICER AGAIN. THE POLICE OFFICER WAS NOT INJURED. HE WAS ALSO ARRESTED. AND SO THERE ARE AT LEAST A DOZEN POLICE OFFICERS ON THE SCENE STILL INVESTIGATING EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. THE POLICE OFFICERS ARE NOW SAYING MOST OF THESE JUVENILES HAVE LEFT THE PLACE AND THESE THREE JUVENILES THAT WERE TRIED ARE TRIED OUT AND RELEASED BECAUSE OF THE CURFEW. AND WE JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU A LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLACE. THERE’S THE PUNCH CAR WITH THE BROKEN WINDOW. THE COPS SAY THEY’LL BE HERE AT K AND SEVENTH FOR A WHILE. ANYONE COMING TO THIS AREA SHOULD KEEP THAT IN MIND. LIVE I
