New charges against former Sanger police officer for sexual assault

SANGER, Calif. (KFSN) – A former police officer from Sanger is now facing charges for the alleged sexual abuse of a woman.

JD Torrence, 40, was previously charged in 2022 with engaging in non-consensual sexual conduct while serving as a police officer.

The new indictment announced on Thursday adds another count to the court in connection with another victim.

Torrence is accused of sexually assaulting the victim after locking her in his patrol car and driving her to a remote location.

If convicted, he faces life imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
