Police search for man accused of sexually abusing 11-year-old boy in New Jersey

IRVINGTON, NJ (PIX11) — The search is underway for a man who police say sexually assaulted an 11-year-old boy in Irvington, NJ

PIX11 News has seen surveillance video of the man walking up to the 11-year-old and dragging him from the front of the house to the side. We will not show you the video because it is disturbing and the family asked us not to air it. We have learned that the perpetrator took the child to the back of the house and threatened to kill him if he made any noise.

“It’s really sensitive and it’s really new, and I’m very upset and still am,” the child’s mother, whose identity we are not disclosing, told PIX11 News exclusively. “You know, my son told me what happened outside my door.”

According to the Irvington Detective Bureau, the child was walking his dog on Ellis Avenue around 6:30 a.m. The family told PIX11 News that the suspect was waiting when the boy tried to enter the house.

“My son was strangled in front of my house; he was taken right there, yes, to the back,” the mother said.

And then the man allegedly sexually abused the little boy. Sources told PIX11 News that this may not be the only case of sexual assault involving this suspect.
