Brockton police identify suspect arrested in Sunday shooting

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) – Brockton police have identified the main suspect arrested in connection with Sunday’s shooting that left a woman injured.

Jonathan Alves, 27, and two others were arraigned today in connection with an early morning shooting on Falconer Avenue.

Alves is accused of assault with a dangerous weapon, alleged murder and several other charges.

The other two, 26-year-old Naldo Barbosa and 42-year-old Aylson Correia Castro, face charges of illegal possession of ammunition and illegal possession of weapons with an FID card.

The woman who was shot in the chest on Sunday was taken to a Boston hospital.
