Man dead after being shot in the leg near Sherman Park

ST. LOUIS – A man died Sunday afternoon after being shot in the city’s Fountain Park neighborhood.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, a 51-year-old man was shot in the leg around 3:35 p.m. Sunday near the Crown Food Mart at 1451 North Kingshighway Boulevard.

According to police, the man’s death was pronounced at the scene.

The ongoing investigations have been taken over by the homicide squad.

No further information was available until Monday morning.

The Bullet Related Injury Clinic (BRIC) is a community-based clinic in St. Louis that helps people recover from a gunshot injury. The BRIC was created to help people being discharged from the emergency room after a gunshot injury.
