Firefighters respond to brush fire in Broward and find one person dead

POMPANO BEACH, Florida. – A fire broke out in a wooded area in Broward County on Sunday, and firefighters found one person dead.

Both officers from the Broward Sheriff’s Office and emergency personnel from the Pompano Beach Fire Department were involved in the death investigation in the area of ​​Northeast 33 Court and Fifth Avenue in Pompano Beach.

An aerial view using Google Maps shows the wooded area is behind Value Pawn & Jewelry, 3181 Dixie Highway, and near two churches and a public school. There are trails and debris. A street view shows the surrounding fence is damaged.
