One dead and several injured in accident in Elk Grove Village

One person died and several were injured in a traffic accident in Elk Grove Village late Tuesday.

At around 11:20 p.m., two vehicles collided at the intersection of Biesterfield and Meacham Road, Elk Grove Village police said.

According to the Cook County Coroner’s Office, one person was killed and others were hospitalized, according to police.

The accident is still under investigation and the entire intersection of Biesterfield Roads and Meacham Roads is closed until further notice, police said.
