Williamson man arrested for drunk driving with child in car after domestic incident

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Mathew Wilson of Williamson following a domestic incident.

Wilson faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence of alcohol (DWI), driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08% or more, driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, driving while aggravated, and endangering the welfare of a child under 15.

Officers arrested Wilson after he failed a breathalyzer test. A chemical test later revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.12%. Wilson was traveling with a child at the time. He was booked with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and is being held in the Wayne County Jail pending arraignment.

Wilson is scheduled to appear in Williamson Municipal Court at a later date.
