Man arrested after shooting in Grand Forks – Grand Forks Herald

GRAND FORKS – A shooting that occurred Saturday night in Grand Forks resulted in one arrest and one victim with injuries that police believe are not life-threatening.

According to a Grand Forks Police report, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. at the Abbott Sports Complex, 1120 Seventh Ave. South. Grand Forks Police received a call that a male suspect had been shot.

According to the report, “initial investigations into the incident revealed that a disturbance had occurred on the sports complex’s basketball court involving two individuals who were known to each other.”

During the altercation, the 25-year-old man — he’s from Grand Forks, but police have not released his name — was shot, the report said. He was taken to Altru Hospital with an injury, but his injury did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.

The suspect, 24-year-old Allen Little of Grand Forks, was arrested at the scene. He was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment and extreme indifference.

Police say there is no danger to the public, but also note that the investigation is ongoing. The department asks anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information to call GFPD at 780-787-8000.
