According to police, rapper Nicki Minaj was stopped by Dutch authorities over the weekend for allegedly “carrying drugs.”

In a video recorded via the hip-hop artist’s Instagram Live and later shared online via various social media accounts, Minaj can be heard speaking to police at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport while holding her phone with the camera in her hand.

In the clip, Minaj mentions “pre-rolled cigarettes that they found,” and then she is seen being led out of her vehicle and told to get into a police car. When she asks why she should get into the car, an officer tells her that she is “under arrest,” later adding that she has “drugs on me.” Minaj responds, “I don’t have drugs on me.”

Throughout the clip, Minaj repeatedly demands the address of the police station and the presence of a lawyer while the police tell her to “stop filming.”

In this still from Nicki Minaj's Instagram Live, the rapper is led out of her car by police at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. CNN has blurred out the comments on the live stream.

When CNN contacted Amsterdam authorities using Minaj’s first name, Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, Dutch military police, known as the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, said they had arrested a 41-year-old American woman with “soft drugs” at Schiphol Airport. She is currently in custody and being questioned at the police station, police said.

In an updated statement to CNN later Saturday, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee said the woman held in its custody had been released “on suspicion of exporting soft drugs.”

“After consultation with the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect received a fine and is now allowed to continue her journey,” the statement continued.

CNN has contacted Minaj’s representative for comment.

Minaj is currently on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour in support of her latest album, which was released late last year. She was scheduled to perform in Manchester, UK on Saturday night, May 25, but the show has now been postponed, according to the X-account of concert venue Co-op Live. Minaj performed in Amsterdam on Thursday night.
