(VIDEO) Multi-car crash causes massive, raging fire in a ramp of Boston’s Ted Williams Tunnel – New Bedford Guide

“On Friday around 4:00 p.m., Boston Police and Fire Departments received multiple emergency calls regarding a multi-car crash in the Ted William’s Tunnel in Boston.

When rescue workers arrived, they found several damaged cars that were completely engulfed in flames.

“Extraordinary work by the firefighters of Local 718 under extreme conditions. The value of a well-trained and properly staffed professional fire department cannot be underestimated or undervalued; our members make the difference between life and death for the citizens of Boston.” – Boston Firefighters Local 718 IAFF.

The fire broke out in the tunnel that connects northbound Interstate 93 with eastbound Mass Pike, just before the Ted Williams Tunnel. There is no information yet about the injured or their condition.
